Tourism Natural Park “Strandja” offers all visitors, tourists and participants in natural, ecological, ethnographical or archaeological expeditions, the opportunity to experience something unforgettable. The hilly relief of the mountain and the entire network of well maintained tourist paths are a good precondition for hiking tourism. The cool summer, the warm and continuous autumn, the comparatively small number of cloudy days, the lack of substantial temperature anomalies, favor the development of tourism through out most of the year. Bourgas – Malko Tarnovo, road № 98 – a first class road, diverting from E87 in the Poda place near the city of Bourgas, through the places Bosna and Zvezdets, reaching the town of Malko Tarnovo. The Bourgas Airport is located 75 km away from the town of Malko Tarnovo. The border checkpoint with Turkey is located just 9 km away.

Bourgas – Sozopol – Primorsko – Tsarevo – Malko Tarnovo (road № 9 - Е87 ) – passes along the southern Black Sea coast, reaches the town of Tsarevo and then heads south in the direction of Malko Tarnovo. The journey is captivating, as during most of the time the road follows the coastal line and after passing through the town of Tsarevo, it enters the dense mountain forests.

If the city of Bourgas is your starting point and you do not dispose of means of transportation, you can use the public transport to Malko Tarnovo provided by bus station “Zapad”, and to Tsarevo, provided by bus station “Yug”. The Management of Natural Park “Strandja” offers mountainous, ecological, ornithological, sports, cultural and cognitive itineraries, mountain guides, information of accommodation and food restaurants. Specialized itineraries have been designed for those of you who are looking for recreation and new challenges. The interior of the mountain offers opportunities for staying overnight in village guest houses. The Black Sea coast provides a great number of cozy private lodgings, boarding houses and family hotels, camping sites, and also wonderful places for bivouacking in the valleys of the Veleka and Mladejka Rivers.
